The Galette des Rois is the perfect French tradition to share with the entire family. Traditionally celebrated on 6th January in France to mark Epiphany.
There is an age-old protocol to follow and it is all to do with the porcelain lucky charm that bakers hide inside. First of all the youngest child has to hide under the table and tells the person who is cutting the tart who is getting which slice.
Whoever finds the charm, known as a “fève” in France, gets to become the “King” or “Queen” for the day.
